Railroad Quiet Zone Reception Held

There was reception at City Hall to thank Speaker of the House Joe Straus, State Senator Jeff Wentworth, representatives of Union Pacific Railroad and others who made the quiet zone possible.

Railroad officials are working to assure that no horns are sounded unnecessarily.

The City of Olmos Park Police Department is now enforcing City Ordinance Number 95-01 “Restricting the Use of Water.” Persons found in violation of the ordinance will receive a misdemeanor citation for each violation.

San Antonio Water System enforcement officers also patrol the City and issue citations.
